President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard information from State Counselor Erlan Karin about the work of the State Commission for the Full Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression, Akorda reports.

The activities of the State Commission are focused on research. Members of the Commission, prominent scientists, and experts carried out large-scale work in the country’s archives and studied closed funds. Together with interested government bodies, work is underway to declassify departmental archives and provide materials for the rehabilitation of citizens.

The Head of State was presented with 31 volumes of documents and materials on the history of various categories of victims of repression.
