The State Commission for the Full Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression has identified priority areas of work for 2022.
NUR-SULTAN. DECEMBER 23 - The Secretary of State, Krymbek Kusherbayev, held a regular meeting of the State Commission for the Full Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression, KAZAKHSTAN TODAY reports.
The meeting reviewed the main results of the activities of the Project Office, subcommittees, working groups, and regional branches of the State Commission for the Full Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression for 2021 and identified priority areas of work for 2022, the Akorda press service reports.
Chairman of the Commission Krymbek Kusherbayev noted that today an integral organizational structure of the State Commission has been formed in the center and in the regions, a methodological base has been developed, a unified approach to research activities has been defined, a targeted information strategy has been built, and systematic research work has been established in state, departmental, and foreign archives.
At the meeting, the electronic portal of the State Commission was presented, containing a general database of victims of political repression and information on the activities of its structures.
Members of the State Commission reported on the formation of special funds on issues of repression in state archives and the development of international cooperation with the CIS countries and the European Union.
Following the meeting, the government, heads of central and local executive, and law enforcement agencies were given specific instructions on priority areas of work for 2022, including organizing an analytical and expert assessment of accumulated archival material, ensuring research work in the regions, and expanding the publishing activities of the State Commission.
