The conference brought together Members of Parliament, as well as foreign and domestic scholars and experts. Among the distinguished guests was Dana Rakhmetullovna, daughter of the prominent figure of the Alash movement, Rakhmetolla Karzhaubayev. A special role in organizing her visit was played by Koptilеу Tazhigaliev, a local historian from Atyrau. Guided by sincere patriotic commitment and a deep interest in the history of the Alash movement, he independently initiated archival and research work, collecting materials on Rakhmetolla Karzhaubayev. As a result of his efforts, he was able to locate his daughter, Dana Rakhmetullovna. Although Dana Rakhmetullovna is a citizen of Kazakhstan, she currently resides in Krasnodar Krai due to family circumstances. During the conference, she shared her memories of her father and presented family photographs. Koptilеу Tazhigaliev also delivered a brief speech, outlining the work he had carried out and emphasizing the importance of declassifying archival materials. The Head of the Project Office, Sabyr Kassymov, presented Dana Rakhmetullovna with a brochure containing archival documents on her father’s activities, prepared by Candidates of Historical Sciences G.K. Mukanova and K.K. Sarsembina. He also expressed his gratitude to Koptilеу Tazhigaliev for his contribution to historical research and his civic initiative. According to Dana Rakhmetullovna, the meeting left the warmest and most touching impressions. She expressed her sincere appreciation to the Project Office for organizing the conference and for honoring the memory and historical legacy of her father, stating: “…many thanks to everyone — even ‘thank you’ seems not enough.” For the guest, a cultural and educational program was organized at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, including a meeting with descendants of Alash members, as well as visits to the ALZHIR Memorial Museum Complex and the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The international conference raised the pressing issue of the need to declassify archival materials, which has facilitated the return of Rakhmetolla Karzhaubayev’s name to academic discourse. Such meetings strengthen intergenerational ties and contribute to fostering Kazakhstani patriotism, as well as to the preservation and promotion of national heritage.
