My father's father, Burtebay, was a rich man. His property was confiscated in 1928. He was located on the Or River, the current Temir State Farm of Emba District. He died shortly after the property was confiscated. His son, my grandfather Konysbai, was arrested and taken away by the NKVD in Emba in 1937. There is no information about my grandfather Konysbai. His son, my father Bazylbek, is a war veteran. My father's brother did not return from the war. Such is the sad fate of my ancestors.
