The tragic fate of the missing Kozhan Ata (great-grandfather) and his children

Назад
Our ancestors settled in the Aksay, Sureli, Kurman kenshary, Oyil district, Aktobe region. Our grandfather Kozhan was a religiously literate man. He kept a mosque and went on pilgrimages. His children are Kairgali and Sagatkali. Kairgali was wealthy. Our grandfather Sagatkali studied in St. Petersburg. <br> My grandfather Kairgali was persecuted in 1929-1931, his property was confiscated, and he was deported to the Orenburg region. After 1930, he came to Guryev region with his family. His younger brother Sagatkali graduated from the village of Dossor and worked at Sberbank, but he fell ill and died prematurely. He did not start a family. And my great-grandfather Kozhan is unknown, where is he?! Or was he taken away by the Soviet authorities? There is no information. Kairgali died in 1930. His son Salim (born in 1925) was orphaned at the age of 5. What should an orphaned child know? After all, we often hear from the people that our grandfathers were wealthy, influential, and respected people. My father Salim Kairgaliyuly passed away in 2001. This is all I know about the tragic fate of my grandfathers. I am writing this so that it will remain in the pages of the book. Information provided by: Serikkali Salimuly. Aktobe city, 2023
